The No. 1 Davis Darts beat Sky View on Monday by the score of 10-3 in chilly conditions at Bus Park in Farmington.
Davis scored first but the Bobcats tied the game midway through the first quarter. Davis scored again to take a 2-1 lead after the first.
Davis scored two goals in the second quarter and didn’t allow Sky View to score, allowing the Darts to take a 4-1 lead into halftime.
Sky View came out of halftime with all the momentum, scoring two goals to cut the Dart lead to one but Davis went on a six goal run over two quarters to close out the game with the victory.
“We played very well,” said Davis Head Coach Trevor Yoc0m. “It was a little bit sloppy, but the cold weather changes the way the boys play but we’re happy to come away with the win.”
Davis had 12 penalties compared to only 3 for Sky View.
“Being two man down a couple of times and not allowing them to score says volumes about our defense,” said Yoc0m.
Davis won 10 out of 17 face-offs. Davis Goalie Berklee Baskin had 11 saves in the win.
Davis was led by Attackmen Dillon Yoc0m and Attackmen Josh Gee who both had 2 goals and 3 assists. Midfielder Spencer “Pepper” Eames had 1 goal and 1 assist.
Davis will host Pocatello on Wednesday.
Sky View will take on Fremont on Wednesday.
