Mountain Crest Attackmen Troy Netzley

Under the beautiful skies of Hyrum, the Mustangs of Mountain Crest (2-4) ended up stealing this win from the Bandits of Pocatello (0-3) by the score of 17-1 in a game that proved to be just as one sided as the score suggests.

With not much to write home about, the Bandits were trampled by the Mustangs in every way imaginable. Pocatello Head Coach Michael Henderson said it best when asked about his teams trials against the defending champions. Read More

We begin our D-II previews by looking at the North Conference. Box Elder has moved to the North from the Davis Conference. Mountain Crest won the conference in 2012 followed by Logan, Sky View and Idaho Falls.

The Box Elder Bees come into 2013 having graduated 10 seniors, 8 of which were starters including First Team All-State Midfielder Andy Bennett, First Team All-State Attackmen Matt Pulsipher and First Team All-State Defensemen Quinn Simpson. Attackmen Nathan Smith returns to the team having notched 30 goals and 7 assists in 2012. Look for Nick Moyle and Breckin Gunter to continue to run the Box Elder offense. Spanish Fork stayed at the top spot in the South Conference with a 7-6 win over Lehi last Tuesday. In the Davis Conference, Box Elder continues to roll but Syracuse is right on their heels. Waterford and West Jordan are both 3-0 in Salt Lake Conference play which will make their match this week very meaningful. Mountain Crest has clinched the No. 1 seed in the North Conference, but Logan and Sky View will fight for the No. 2 seed this week.
