The No. 4 Lehi Pioneers upset the No. 2 Herriman Mustangs in the Semifinals of the 2013 Girls D-II Playoffs by the score of 8-6 on Monday night in Park City.
“We’ve always been underdogs this year,” said Lehi Head Coach Greg Freeman. “We’re a young team. At the start of the season we made shooter shirts that said ‘Believe’. The last four games we finally became full strength and we’re playing our best lacrosse right now.”
Herriman scored first when Allie Lambert went iso from the top of the box and shot at the 8m arc, bouncing it in to give the Mustangs the early lead.
